Absolutely shocking

www.dailysignal.com/2021/07/22/federal-judge-halts-arkansas-ban-on-sex-change-procedures-for-minors/

Hopefully campaigners will step up and get this passed

This line was very troubling "ACLU of Arkansas Executive Director Holly Dickson praised the judge’s ruling Wednesday, saying it “sends a clear message to states across the country that gender affirming care is life-saving care, and we won’t let politicians in Arkansas—or anywhere else—take it away,” AP reported." But then it is from the ACLU

This seems to be the new thing..... saying 'you're welcome to believe what you like' while adding that stating disagreement or criticism of an opinion is 'silencing it'. Novel interpretation of the semantics to say the least.

No one on MN gets a white card to say what they like and expect nothing but mindless agreement.

Redapplewreath · 26/07/2021 15:07

Which is it by the way? Are people welcome to believe what they like or is it 'silencing' to have a dissenting opinion? It can't be both.

So.... no evidence that the action that you have described as 'great' is actually the best option for young people with gender dysphoria?

Why does it matter?

Because I am witnessing in real life and in real time the very real effects of what you are supporting. On real teenagers.

I most certainly do not think there is a one size fits all treatment plan, and I am very conscious of the negative side effects on the young people I know, of them being influenced by this 'affirming only' agenda. The agenda being pushed by those who have halted this bill.

You can choose to live on Earth 1.

I will live on Earth, as it is now and I will follow the studies very closely. And if they show that the life limiting and life shortening negative effects are actually rare, and that the statistics that these treatments are actually not be dramatically skewed to suit a particular narrative instead of actually what is best for the many, many teenaged females caught up here, then I will support it.

Obviously my post is to Hypatia

have an inclusive, intersectional view of feminism with buying into the divisive rhetoric which seeks to drive a wedge between wedge between women.

Well, at least you are honest that intersectional feminism follows a divisive rhetoric.

Redapplewreath · 26/07/2021 15:19

How can you believe youre being intersectional and inclusive while speaking for a political belief that excludes many vulnerable women from any provision by removing single sex spaces and replacing sex with gender?

Shall we be honest that your intersectionality and inclusion is actually only focused on people born male, and takes no interest at all in those born female whose needs are thrown aside and whose rights are harmed by all this?

And that the whole 'driving a wedge' by pointing this out is actually because some people around here get what inclusion really does mean and believe it applies to everyone, including females?

RedDogsBeg · 26/07/2021 16:08

an inclusive, intersectional view of feminism with buying into the divisive rhetoric which seeks to drive a wedge between wedge between women.

The only wedges being driven are by people such as yourself who are prioritising men over women in feminism, which by the way is by women for women not men, any men, however they identify. Your version of feminism places women at the bottom of the pile, places men and their wants and desires over women's needs, is not inclusive as it excludes swathes of women of all ages, colour, and creed, purely for not being craven and submissive to your mantra chanting and men worshipping view.
