The BBC has acknowledged that an article stating that a High Court ruling on puberty-blocking drugs could cause gender-confused young people to commit suicide was one-sided and endangered vulnerable people.

Excellent. Ben Hunte has a long list of complaints against him but I presume that the BBC can't sack him because he's special or something.

Good. The BBC are bad on this issue with suicide which makes this journalist stand out as more ‘untouchable’. The Daily Mail are awful in their headlines and reporting for suicide for all which is a wider editorial disgrace.
The Samaritans guidelines are excellent. I think they should be heavy penalties for not following them. Its like incitement by journalists.

Ben was seconded to BBC News West Africa Correspondent in Feb. It will be interesting to see if he reappears as LBGT correspondent. I suspect he will go on to other bigger and better things.

What does that say about the BBC that a correspondent who had a whole string of articles amended as a result of complaints, has been sent to West Africa?

Thanks for heads-up. Mental note to double check BBC News involving West Africa for the foreseeable.

I've replaced the BBC and the Guardian with the Economist. A more demanding read but much more trustworthy.

Weirdly I can’t find this reported anywhere else.

He quoted GP Dr Adrian Harrop, an LGBT activist with no specialist knowledge in gender dysphoria but who claimed there was “a very real risk” of more suicides.

Hunte also gave credence to similar views from Helen Webberley, who was suspended by the General Medical Council for running an unlicensed transgender clinic for children.

The usual suspects love pushing the suicide narrative!

Good to see this, thanks for posting OP.

Looks like it's talked about on this American site, referencing the Christian Institute:
