A 55-year-old French judge has been dismissed for offering sex with his 12-year-old daughter on an internet site for partner swapping

At least they dismissed him.

Bailly, whose wife Sophie Véjux-Bailly is also a judge, was charged a year ago with corrupting a minor and provoking paedophile crime, offences which carry up to 10 years in jail.

Oops, I think I misread, not two incidents, it's 'just' that it took a year to dismiss him after he was charged.

To be fair I think French employment law is quite militant. It may have taken a process.

But yes what the actual fuck? And why always an excuse?

It's horrific. I cannot understand how the alleged PTSD would drive him to behave this way or why he never sought help for the PTSD or really anything at all about this man's behaviour.

I hope his daughter is now safe and able to access appropriate support. Goodness knows what damage this may have done to her.

I for one don't believe that one goes from loving father who indulges in a bit of weekend therapy for his ptsd involving "swinging* with his wife and other adults to having a lightbulb moment and deciding to pimp out the 12 year old daughter.
I hope she's somewhere safe now.

I was listening to a podcast about a man who developed a brain tumor in his frontal lobe which caused him to become hypersexual to the point of criminal. They said you can't be responsible for your illness but you are responsible for managing that illness which is true. I'm sure ots of mental illnesses have destructive side effect, but you have a responsibility to yourself and to others to seek help.
