What a wonderful woman she is. It would have been so easy for her to ignore all of this and tut quietly at home, unheard. Instead she puts herself in the firing line again and again and as the response to her tweet shows that has had an inspiring effect on many other women. Not at all the result that the misogynist bullies expected.

Judging by the tsunami of supportive emails and letters I've received, if women learned anything from the response to my post it wasn't that they should sit down and shut up. Solidarity to the brave and fabulous @millihill (and I love your books, by the way!)

I admire JK Rowling so much, she's brave and speaks up for vulnerable women and girls with wisdom and compassion in the face of bullying and misogyny.

She is brilliant. The bullies will come soon but I'm glad she can see the support she has and the effect she had.

Our allies are true, constant and great speakers - never too much, always just right. Glad I'm on this side of history

I love that she won't be quiet and 'learn her lesson' - I think it frustrates them so much that she won't bow down to them. So few people are that steadfast in the face of so much craziness.

Feel very pleased to be part of the tsunami of support also, inspired by a thread on here.

This is why it's all worth it, and why we keep going. The solidarity and support between women is incredible.
