This University is defunding it's Student Union (Ireland), so I thought maybe this is a way for our Universities to get the minority of TRA's in the unions to stop trying to cancel women and to bring some sense back into the organisation. Apparently this is happening after a student referendum, so maybe lots of our students are hacked off too, and would like a chance to make their feelings known. It would be a great way to find out whether there is a silent majority wouldn't it?

I think the referendum was solely on amount of students fees or levy so I doubt how students felt about the pushing of trans politics at the uni entered into that outcome. However reducing the impact of the SU and reminding them actions have consequences is a good thing.

Must admit, it just triggered an idea. Though SU are radical by their nature, they should never take for granted that they can campaign to get women de-platformed is ok and, as you say there should be consequences
