Just read an article about how workplace/home labour will balance out after Covid and the usual conclusions that women bore the brunt of the work. Am I alone in getting annoyed about this sentence: "The pandemic has taught people of all genders how they want to work and live"? Both SEXES surely. I know its commonplace parlance and it WAS the Guardian. But still makes me very grumpy.

I don't have a gender, so I guess I haven't learnt anything from the pandemic?

I'm sure it would be fascinating to know what the pandemic taught those who are Novigender, Androgyne, and Maverique how they want to work and live.

D’uh.

I fucking hate the term "all genders". Every time I see it I want to scream. It is just wrong. They always mean "both sexes" as well. Very rarely does the sentence make more sense with "all genders". And it's usually a bollox sentence if it does.

I've really had enough now. Get the wool out of your heads people.

I don't have a gender. I feel thoroughly left out in not having been taught how I want to work and live by the pandemic.
