If the original incident was staged, than that's appallingly cruel and cynical. However the behaviour I saw towards protesters was appalling.

What happened to the protesters was assault and battery, and those Antifa fascists should have been arrested for it.

How “likely” do you really think it is, given that Wi Spa did not, either at the time or subsequently, deny the premise of the complaint?

That Wi Spa specifically said anyone could display their penis in the women’s facilities if they identified as a woman?

Or that other women have corroborated the fact that it happens?

What exactly is the “hoax”? That a penis was on display or that women were upset by it?

Historically indecent exposure has been a proclivity associated with the right wing. Defending it and refusing to believe women feels very rght wing (even when the bold defenders aren’t blackshirts attacking women).

When the video first emerged, the narrative was that the woman was a transphobe, it's great that this spa is so inclusive, everyone tripping over themselves to defend the rights of males to expose themselves to kids, saying ''little girls should stop being rude and just not look'', etc etc...

...until they realised everyone was looking at them in horror like woah mate, what the actual FUCK?!

So then they had to change the narrative, which is now that this woman is a mighty fine actress who managed to get a bunch of other women in on her cunning stunt. I suppose she left that review 3 years ago too, huh? The one that details the same thing happening back then? Planted the seed and waited for the perfect day, three years later, to enact her dastardly plan?

The writer of the Slate piece is confused (and not just because they somehow think it was a changing room): if the spa allows exposed penises in the ladies’ sauna and jacuzzi as a matter of policy, then what was the need for and point of staging a ‘hoax’?

The writer clearly supports a transgender right to expose penises to women and girls, and refers to imagined “horrific acts of lewdness or indecency”. Why not draw those boundaries out now rather than leave them open? What else is ok, beyond mere exposure? Or is that the limit??
