Replace 'women' with any other subjugated group in that article and there would be huge outcry. Apparently we're committing 'hate crimes' with ribbons and stickers.

It's hideous. People think COVID is a dystopian nightmare, it's nothing on what is being done to women and children right now.

Because somehow, when coming up with the policies and laws which facilitate this (and which were the reason the judge said no law was being broken by doing by deliberately exposing women to preventable harm) it didn't occur to the law-makers and policy-makers that there would be any conflict of rights in doing this.

Because the male prisoners in the male estate would be fine, and the male prisoners in the female estate would be fine. Win-win, surely? Gosh, aren't we kind and inclusive and wonderful!

TLDR: Because fuck women.

And, if what I’ve read elsewhere is true, the transwoman doesn’t need to have made any attempts to transition or have a GRC.

This ruling also suggests to me that any male prisoner (who states he’s trans) who is then denied a place in a female prison will have an avenue to sue the MoJ. The threat of that alone will make the MoJ more likely to grant these requests.

I genuinely fear for my daughters with this direction of travel.

Also? What do you mean, also? As per, they were the only ones considered, women weren't thought about AT ALL.

This is reminding me of my entire time at primary school, where girls seemed to exist to be a good influence on the boys rather than to get the best possible education. We were part of the teachers' strategy to manage bad behaviour, but to our own detriment. Sometimes it felt that when you were left to shepherd the school bully through his maths lesson you were being punished just for being a girl.
