Sorry dont have a share option, but this is a very detailed report of the men (who consider themselves family men) enabling predatory men to share "tips" and descriptions of their exploitative (and sometimes violent) encounters with women.

There is a Daily Mail version of this story.

Please note: this has been posted in the women's rights board (url www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights) for the specific reason that it is about women as a sex class being targetted by men as a sex class ie part of the sex (& gender debate)

I'm absolutely reassured that all of these chaps regard themselves as family men and rock solid in their moral compasses. And, given the dismal rape reporting rates, prosecutions, and conviction rates - why wouldn't they feel that this gives them locker room bragging rights and a skill for which they should be valorised?

Rape is a tool of power and the whole point of it is that they enjoy torturing women.

pressed post too soon... so I'm not sure why anyone would be surprised. What is depressing is that these men and these attitudes increasingly seem to be considered perfectly acceptable and even glorified by an increasing sector of the population at large.

stumbledin · 27/06/2021 22:48

I dont think it about being surprised. But the Times highlighting the hypocrasy of the men making money out of this, and more importantly making readers aware that this is happening.

Maybe it should be warning to young (any?) women. Ask a man who approaches you whether they are part of this group. (As if they would own up Sad )

There's a thread on AIBU where a woman describes being sexually assaulted by her date in the manner of a 14 year old schoolboy, and it did cross my mind to wonder if he he gets off on the shock reaction.
Now I'm wondering if he's actually a member of one of these groups and they're taking dares.
