Woman claims her son was 'groomed' into taking hormone treatment by guidance from charities and media

Sainsbury's is putting 'trans ideology' above staff welfare by 'dismissing female workers fears over same-sex toilets after advice from Stonewall', whistleblower claims

And more demanding behaviour from Pride Activists (attempted censorship?):

The annoying presenter on LBC (whoever is one after 5am) allowed a trans caller to use the T word in a very one sided conversation. I think it was on the back of Sainsbury’s - breaking the law???

He just didn’t pick them up on any comment they made or for using this slur. No empathy for women. The broadcaster didn’t read out any follow ups that would have surely pointed out this slur usage (I’m sure there would have been some).

He read out one text/email about how there were so many transphobic crimes we needed to do this to protect this group... hang on, the caller said there was 10% of people in the U.K. in the LGB+ Community (oh ‘probably more than that’ says the interviewer). So... if 51% of the population suffer a murder rate of 3 per week (being a woman/girl), then then... mental maths here... so there’s a 10+% - what’s happening to then that means they are afforded more protection that the 51% ?

And what is categorised as a crime these days?

The cbbc documentary I am Leo was aired a good few years ago and remained on iPlayer. I complained to the BBC when the proof was out that puberty suppressant drugs were not reversible that the documentary contained serious falsehoods about puberty blockers and should be edited to reflect this. It is still bloody up and unchecked: Leo: Becoming a Trans Man: www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/p0559vr5 Angry

FlyPassed · 27/06/2021 09:07

@MrsJamin that link is the follow up, Leo was even younger in I Am Leo, and it won a bloody BAFTA!

Everyone who has even the slightest inkling that something might be amiss with how we treat dysphoric kids really needs to watch these.

I hope this is watchable, it was the only version of I Am Leo that i could find

On the Sainsbury's article in the DM, they always say they want to be an incisive employer. Well, just do that then. Don't reject applicants based on their sexual orientation. It's a radical idea I realise Confused

The BBC Pride board wanting special editorial permission and decision making is hilarious...off to see if I cannot get the text from the Telegraph.

Have many people in positions of responsibility basically decided that the default assumption when presented with a 'tomboy' or effeminate child is not, as we previously did, think they're possibly gay, but jump straight to the idea that they're 'trans' and act accordingly? That these days being gay is, as a writer popular with schools said, a mere 'consolation prize', that trans is the future - here anointed with a BAFTA - and gay is the past, something like a penny farthing or horse draw cart now left behind by advancing technology? This really is the impression many of those who work with children are giving.

Oh yes. The ones I signed up to and posted on pretending to be an 11 year old.

BlackeyedSusan · 27/06/2021 09:58

Or tomboy= autistic girl

Clymene · 27/06/2021 10:02

Here's the documentary I mentioned earlier:

www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000xh73

This is the first line of the summary: "Petite Fille (Little Girl) is a moving and sensitive portrait of a young French girl called Sasha, who was assigned male at birth. "

Sasha is a boy, not a girl.

EmbarrassingAdmissions · 27/06/2021 10:32

But the whistleblower dismissed the programme and Sainsbury's involvement with Stonewall's annual Workplace Equality Index as a 'waste of money'. He said: 'The Workplace Equality Index takes about 400 hours to fill in the forms and then you get just four lines of feedback.

tbh, I'm astonished it's just 400 hours.

CardinalLolzy · 27/06/2021 10:39

Impressed with that Observer piece.
Not long ago they launched their 'end femicide' campaign which I think is really important: www.theguardian.com/society/series/end-femicide

I’ve just found/remembered there is a website that collates all of these articles. Bit concerned whether I am allowed to link to it due to its name. So I will play charades.

First syllable - rhymes with seek
Second syllable - rhymes with something that belongs to
Fran.

Or, the crossword clues:
Top of the mountain
“Across” the Atlantic.

I don’t thing being a “tomboy” or an “effeminate boy” indicates you are gay. I know lots of men and woman who migjt be described as this - some are gay most are not. I might have been described as a ‘tomboy’ as i loved football and hates dresses etc but i am not gay. No child should be assumed to be straight or gay or trans just because of their interests.

I can't see anything on that site which would be inappropriate, let's risk it.
