Did anyone listen to Moral Maze yesterday? Is it worth listening to on BBC Sounds? (The trailer said it was about the moral issues of women’s sports)

Yes.."? No women witnesses. The “researcher” we heard earlier on Woman’s Hour claimed that Transwomen competing against women was equivalent to lesbians competing against women. Clear homophobia. Debbie Hayton was good in defining sex v gender ID and suggested it would have been good to have a female witness. Surgery was defined as corrective, which apparently Laurel Hubbard has not had.

There's another thread on this. It was utter shite.

Thanks both. Sorry for the repeat thread.

No Moonlight Apple.

The more discussion the better. The fact that there was no female ‘witnesses’ was appalling. Hubbards inclusion needs to be discussed widely. Even Harper, the author of the study that the OIC used to make this decision has concerns.

Particularly galling as it wasn't until 2012 that the last 2countries which participated in the Olympics allowed women to be included. Up until then countries were allowed to send men despite excluding female participation. Were these countries told that they couldn't send their men if they were excluding women? Don't be daft oil and money much more important than women. Plus ça change!
