Just a quick heads-up regarding a youtuber that I recently came across. Maybe worth keeeping an eye on her videos. Basically she's a gender critical american woman, and I like the points she makes and the way she comes across. I've only watched two of her videos so far.

Womanhood is NOT a feeling -

How I became Gender Critical -

This second one I found quite interesting, though there was one point halfway or three-quarters of the way in that didn't ring true and made me question whether she is as honest as she infers she is. I'll try to find that bit again.

Either way I think it might be a channel worth keeping an eye on, and perhaps some of the videos would be useful to share with curious or TWAW teens as a starting point for conversation.

Sydney Watsons videos on Youtube are really good too

Yeah I've seen a few of hers. Didn't she used to be (maybe still is) anti-feminist? Not that you need to be a feminist to see the unfairness.

I've just clicked on Sydney's channel and I have to say I was put off that she is a self-described conservative and didn't particularly like her style when I hit play. Can anyone recommend a relatively short and relatively good video of hers that I should start with?

I wouldn't say I was a fan, but she did a recent one on Laurel Hubbard which was ok.

She did say "Where are the feminists on this?"...after quoting tweets from Emma Hilton Grin

Tesla73 · 24/06/2021 10:46

From what i've seen of her videos so far her anti-feminism is more to do with those who are just "all men bad" etc - i may be wrong

and this

Discovered this fella yesterday and watched a couple of videos - hes very angry but everything he says is correct. Seems to be very anti-woke and talks so much sense - did a really good video on a fake hate incident

this was the one that caught me attention -

I don't think it's q bad thing necessarily yhat these issues are getting an airing outside of feminist, left wing circles: it depends on their take.

Another one I saw recently. Gothix is an "ex leftist". She seems pretty fair and balanced

ScreamingMeMe · 24/06/2021 11:35

Anyway I enjoyed Lisa's videos and look forward to seeing more from her.

[/quote] I agree that it is useful that these things are discussed in a wide variety of circles, not least as different people are likely to respond more positively to certain voices than they are other voices making the same basic point.

Having said that I prefer to listen to and read those who are coming from my perspective more, and when it comes to sharing resources I'd prefer to share the voices of people who I agree with generally, and not just on one issue.
