Her latest appeal against suspension seems to have succeeded. Good.

OP posts:

Sorry for typos. I'm walking!

RadandMad · 21/06/2021 18:20

Such good news!

Leafstamp · 21/06/2021 20:58

Delighted to see Helen back and I think it’s a great boost for the feminist community on Twitter.

SpindleWhorl · 21/06/2021 21:04

Is it a tradition now that someone has to waft in like a ghost at the feast on every thread about good news for a woman and slag off the much-loved comedy creator of the much-adored Father Ted?

Just checking the new rules.

AlfonsoTheMango · 21/06/2021 21:06

@teawamutu

Wonder if this means *@Glinner* has a chance at reinstatement?
I hope so.
CousinKrispy · 21/06/2021 22:52

Yes, I think you're right, SpindleWhorl.

Leafstamp · 22/06/2021 12:35

Helen is being mass reported on Twitter so has locked her account.

What is wrong with these people?!

RoyalCorgi · 22/06/2021 13:49

On the subject of Glinner, I find his Substack emails incredibly informative and useful - he's one of the few people to gather all the important info in one place. When someone comes to write a history of all this, the stuff that Glinner and his colleagues have put together will be an immensely valuable resource.

NecessaryScene · 22/06/2021 14:30

What is wrong with these people?!

More to the point, why doesn't Twitter take action against the people doing the mass reporting?

People being idiots is one thing. Companies/institutions letting them get away with it is quite another.

Mollyollydolly · 22/06/2021 14:34

Glinner's channel is excellent .. over the last few months especially they've had so many great guests on. Yesterday's with Jess was an absolute scream. It's my favourite thing on YouTube and however many views it gets it's set the agenda and been ahead of the curve (bit like Mumsnet). I couldn't care less how many watch, it's made a difference.

PatsArrow · 22/06/2021 15:21

I agree Mollyollydolly, its one of the only YouTube podcasts I never miss. I love the unscripted-ness of it. Jess de Wahls was incredible yesterday. Maya Forstater is on so often she's almost part of the team!
Arty Morty too is such a find, I love his ability to create a new metaphor.

I do like it when they have consumed a bit of booze though 😉

AryaStarkWolf · 22/06/2021 15:28

Well done Helen!

JustcameoutGC · 22/06/2021 15:29

I do worry how much glinner is investing in this, and how much it is costing him.

He has been an amazing advocate, and so so brave. But too much time with your head in this stuff is not good for you. I hope he takes breaks away.

Surely there can be some kind of 'malicious reporting' flag put on her account which blocks reports? Pffffff

Twitter seems like it has been a real force for bad. Not jut the TR stuff but in many ways. For example I hate that on the news on TV its all "and here's what some politician said on twitter".

TheMarzipanDildo · 22/06/2021 16:37

I love The Mess We’re In too! And Graham’s emails.

I worry about him too, the problem is that he's been completely set adrift and cancelled over this, very unfairly in my view. He has said that this has changed him and he couldn't write comedy atm even if anyone would commission it!

I do hope to see him back though. He's never written anything that has failed to make me laugh.

JediGnot · 22/06/2021 17:43

I would be very funny to see GL write a sit-com set in the offices of a gay and lesbian charity and pressure group that's been taken over by trans-rights extremists.

NecessaryScene · 22/06/2021 19:05

My memory may be faulty, but I believe Glinner did write this, at least.

(It's good enough for me to believe that, anyway - I've seen other more recent attempts and they're not in the same league).

Glinner has been absolutely amazing and I cannot thank him enough for sticking his head above the parapet when so many haven't.

I do worry about the toll this has taken on his health and well-being though.

Love his channel and emails which I share and have opened the eyes of so many others.

That's bloody hilarious 🤣

Shelleyopolis · 12/07/2021 14:50

Glinner is wonderful, he's a war reporter, bravely relaying the news from the front of the War on Women, but helpfully, giving us enough humour and resources to try and take an active part ourselves.

GettingUntrapped · 12/07/2021 15:26

I'm incredibly grateful to Glinner for getting involved in this TRA fight-back.
Also love Arty and Helen.

Shedbuilder · 12/07/2021 16:54

Yes, Graham is an absolute hero and I share his disbelief and despair that so few other men with a public profile have stood up with him. I wish I had more disposable cash to support him and all the other causes. I think it's clear at times that he's struggling and I'm sorry that he's having such a hard time after doing the right thing.
