Excellent new video

Thanks for this OP, I had forgotten this was out. I think I remember watching the trailer.

I have started watching, it's good so far. Mostly clips and interviews so very much hearing from the horses mouth.

The opening question. "Can we talk?" Reminded me of 'Trans Kids: Time to Talk" with Stella O'Malley. Interested to watch the rest.

From the press release:

As a reviewer, Dr. Heather Brunskell-Evans, sociologist and author of "Transgender Body Politics, said," The film powerfully conveys that children with gender dysphoria are the victims of a powerful ideology, with bereft parents desperately attempting to protect them in the face of social hostility."
Alix Aharon, a co-founder of Partners for Ethical Care and founder of The Gender Mapping Project, says a documentary like this is crucial, especially with the hundreds of counted gender clinics for children and teens in the United States, Australia, Canada, and Europe.
James Lindsay, best-selling author and founder of New Discourses, says, "One of the most concerning and harmful things happening in the world today is the wholesale and uncritical encouragement of transition in minors.”
“Trans Mission sheds much-needed light on this issue and is an invitation to start having crucial conversations about it that will lead to protecting some of our most vulnerable kids. Watch this film, share it, and start talking."

I've seen a couple of interviews with Hacsi before, but some of the others are new to me.

I think it's a good vid and just about the right length.

After State Media's Gender Ideology I have been looking for something specific on kids that shows the other side and I think this is it!

The detransitioner piece from 60 mins was ok but a bit weak at they bowed to pressure. State Media are doing shorter videos and the latest is quite good, particularly for beginners.

PandorasMailbox · 17/06/2021 15:13

Thanks @OhHolyJesus

I've seen a couple of their vids and they're pretty good.

Sharing this as relevant to the topic of children - I thought the point about insurance companies was very telling as Erin Brewer concludes.

PandorasMailbox · 17/06/2021 18:41

I'll give that a watch a bit later.

Thank you - I'm the producer and co-writer/co-director of this film. Glad you watched it!

JenniferLahl · 17/06/2021 20:22

Hacsi is a wonderful human being. It was great to sit and film him for this documentary as he has a wealth of knowledge.

OhHolyJesus · 17/06/2021 20:26

Thank you for your work @JenniferLahl!

I have watched Breeders and Eggsploitation and would recommend them to others. The Venus Rising podcasts have often been shared on threads here too. Your work is really important. Thank you!

JenniferLahl · 17/06/2021 20:36

You're too kind! I appreciate that in a world often short on kindness :)

FOJN · 17/06/2021 20:44

Thanks OP, I saw the trailer and was waiting for this to be released. I watched it earlier but intend to watch it again.

I have to force myself to watch or read anything about what this ideology is doing to children. It's too sad hearing about the regrets of young people whose bodies have already been irreversibly altered and knowing it's still going on but I know I can't avoid it.

Oh for a sound proof room to scream my rage into.

JenniferLahl Thank you, this is important work.

WarriorN · 17/06/2021 20:53

Gosh that's powerful. Increasingly so towards the end.

Two things it clarifies, which I sort of knew but really stand out:

The US health system with its insurance companies and private health care really is causing and driving this shit storm. 💵 They're not accountable to the government as the nhs is. They're accountable to big pharma.

That attitude has leaked over here, via social media especially, and driven the rise in gd referrals.

But also, because some people probably do work out the long term effects, not least obvious removal of body parts, it's driving the push for self ID. Conversely, because of the stringent gatekeeping here, that's also driving the push for self ID. And gendergp.

And it's all dripping into mainstream norm and schools. The latter particularly via academia, as it's universities that teach the new annual crop of teachers.

The harm to women who seek gd support seems to be greater; it's fairly obvious to a man that removal of their penis is a potential course of action and irreversible.

Bar mastectomy, which potentially could be reconstructed, the long term internal damage to women seems to be ignored and not shared with patients.

WarriorN · 17/06/2021 20:55

Cross post @JenniferLahl! A fantastic and chilling film. Thank you.

CuntAmongstThePigeons · 17/06/2021 22:05

Absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much Jennifer. Very powerful and so upsetting to hear from young people who have been damaged by this ideology and big pharma scam.

FannyCann · 17/06/2021 22:23

Thank you Jennifer, a very important film.
Regarding the profits to be made within the private system (USA), big pharma and the surgeons, I think over here in the U.K., where we only have the GIDS, struggling to keep up with its c.2500 + referrals annually, I for one underestimate the numbers. Was just looking at Gender mapper on twitter - 40,000 go fund me appeals currently for funding for mastectomies. It's staggering.

300 paediatric clinics in USA. Even Switzerland has 8 with its population of about 8.5 million.

Gender mapper are looking for volunteers by the way.

FannyCann · 17/06/2021 22:39

A search for top surgery shows 41,023 currently on gofund me. Utterly shocking.

Now search for detrans surgery.

That's where you'll see the heartbreak.

WarOnWoman · 18/06/2021 20:06

Thanks for the link, OP. I have watched part of it and had to stop because it was too emotional. Will watch the rest later.

@JenniferLahl thank you.

JenniferLahl · 18/06/2021 22:02

Thank you all for watching the film and for your kind words. Please share the link

We are trying to keep the comments balanced over on YouTube for those who want to put in a good plug. Last thing we need is to have the film pulled for "violation of community standards" or classified as hate speech.

@JenniferLahl

Hacsi is a wonderful human being. It was great to sit and film him for this documentary as he has a wealth of knowledge.
Important long read article by Hacsi Horvath, published December 2018

'The Theatre of the Body: A detransitioned epidemiologist examines suicidality, affirmation, and transgender identity'

(extract)
"I am an adjunct Lecturer in the Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). I’m an expert in clinical epidemiology, particularly in systematic review methods, epidemiologic bias and evidence quality assessment. As a researcher at UCSF, I managed the Cochrane HIV/AIDS Group for over a decade and on several occasions served as a consultant to the World Health Organization (WHO) in their HIV guideline development processes.

For about 13 years, I also masqueraded “as a woman,” taking medical measures which suggest, shall we say, that I was completely committed to that lifestyle. Most men would have recoiled from this, but in my estrogen-drug-soaked stupor it seemed like a good idea. In 2013 I stopped taking estrogen for health reasons and very rapidly came back to my senses. I ceased all effort to convey the impression that I was a woman and carried on with life.

At 12, I believed I would grow up to be a woman. I was mistaken.

As you may imagine, I have a lot of anger at transgenderism and its enablers, as well as an “inward bruise” (as Melville called it). I am not a happy camper. I have been badly harmed. However–as a father myself–I am far angrier that thousands of young people are being irreversibly altered and sterilized as they are inducted into a drug-dependent and medically-maimed lifestyle. I’m furious that women and girls are being steamrolled by trans activists into accepting any man who claims to be a woman in sex-segregated changing rooms, prisons, shelters, women’s sports, and elsewhere. If any man can simply announce that he’s a woman, then what is a woman?" (continues)

Its worth searching for his threads about Harry Benjamin, one of the founding fathers of transsexual medicine.

JenniferLahl I thought it a very powerful, important and sensitively made documentary. Many thanks for your work. I hope it will be viewed by a wide audience. Wine
