Am I being unreasonable to expect the police to give an accurate description of a person attacking women?

There is a person in Derbyshire attacking and attempting to strangle women.

One woman recently attacked in front of their 10 year old child. It took 3 days for the police to come out.

The police and victims originally said it was a man that attacked them, but the police are now saying it was a woman.

Women of Derbyshire do you feel safe and protected by your police force? Do you think the police even know who they are looking for?

Whoops it was Southwark not Derbyshire, my apologies!

There's a thread on this already.

Woman arrested "had intially been mistaken for a man" www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/4271775-Woman-arrested-had-intially-been-mistaken-for-a-man

This needs to stop.

If those attacked say they were attacked by a man, then they were.

Men alleging they are ‘changing sex’ in order to get more lenient sentences/female prison time is an absolute liberty.

I wonder quite how many men would use this ploy if it meant compulsory loss of their jewels.

This is an aibu did you originally post here or aibu?

Im asking so we can know if you have been thrown over into the naughty corner.

Of course descriptions should be accurate.

It also should not take 3 days to show up when there's clearly time for wrong think tweets and ribbons to he dealt with

HeavenHotel · 16/06/2021 09:40

Damn! Was meant to be AIBU! Sorry! I wanted it to get more traffic.

So u didn't originally post there ?

Im.only asking because hq keep moving threads I was wondering if you were another one hidden away

Beeboopbop · 16/06/2021 20:11

shame it didn't go in AIBU. This could do with some more sunlight

ArabellaScott · 16/06/2021 21:58

Maybe start another one in AIBU. Women need to know about these things. It's a question of safety, and unacceptable to muddy the waters by putitng out descriptions that aren't useful.

HeavenHotel · 16/06/2021 23:24

I was so angry I may have posted on here instead of AIBU, but there is one on chat anyway!

The one I remember was the public were told to look out for a woman who may be dressed as a man.

Thing is that was a touch misleading...

This is my area. I am so confused. There seems to be a discrepancy with the age as well. Victims reported a young man but a 53 Yr old woman reported as being arrested. I haven't got a clue what is going on.

It's discussed on the other thread. I think that case was one of the WTAF wake up calls for quite a lot of us.
