Stonewall is only part of the problem. An interesting read but I wonder where the fight back was. The University of Essex went for legal opinion and then apologised. The two academics have taken a lot of abuse and hate but is 'fight back' the right expression. Nevertheless, this highlights just what women have had to put up with.

Maya's case now vindicates them but where do we go from here?

What women have always done, put one foot in front of the other and continue the fight.

I am increasingly impressed by how articulate so many women manage to be despite the emotional and cognitive burden of oppression/vilification and threats to their safety and employment plus alienation from their colleagues that they've been carrying for so long. And all for holding their human rights to be steadfast and immutable.

I don't think Essex University launched a review proactively, did it? My understanding was that the decision to commission the review came about because the academics who were no-platformed were threatening legal action.

It looks like Essex Uni is backtracking on its initial reactions to the report and is caving in to the TRAs. They've refused to investigate those making threats.
