His release is subject to a number of licence conditions.

These include living at a designated address, taking part in probation supervision, wearing an electronic tag, taking part in lie detector tests and having to disclose what vehicles he uses and who he speaks to, with particular limits on contact with children.

He will also be subject to a curfew, have restrictions on using technology and limits on where he can go.

So they clearly don't think he's 'rehabilitated'?

Does anyone know if these restrictions expire?

@MichelleScarn

I know and the caveat that oh if he does something wrong it's back to jail. Why even give the opportunity?!!
Because he's a man. His victims were only girls (not even women). We need to respect his right to get out and decide if he needs to rape and murder, and rape and murder, and cover it up by getting someone to take the DNA test for him, etc., again.

There was another case like this recently.

My view.

Men who have murdered women/ girls. Plenty about. Often don't serve anywhere near this much time. And get released without notice.

He's done 33 years. We only know because it's a well known case.

Changes need to be across the board. Not focused on the occasional man whose crimes we heard about.

33 years is a long time. The ones who get fuck all are important.

Across the board.
One reason for prison is public protection.
Men who carry out violent/ sex offences against women and girls are a particular class of criminal.
They're not doing it for money etc.
They ALL need to be inside until a panel of PROPER experts agrees there is pretty much no chance of reoffending.
If that means never get out that's fine by me.

The approach to 'low level' offences against women and girls need to be treated as seriously as they are- the start of something that escalates.
Get them off the streets before they rape/kill.

That's what I think.

Eg they were going to release warboys after 9 years. Over 100 women attacked.

Still had a sense of sexual entitlement and showed no remorse. On the reports they read and decided to release. And again it was only changed after outcry because he was well known.

We only hear about the famous ones. Which is a tiny proportion of them.

That's my worry.
