My Google-fu is failing me…can anyone help
Me find a suffragette lanyard or ribbon with which I can make one?

I just typed "Votes for Women Merchandise" into Google and loads came up. Various places to purchase including the Houses of Parliament giftshop.

Hobbycraft sell a lot of ribbon colours. £1 a spool. Buy a purple one, a green one and a white one to make your own? And you'll still have ribbon left to decorate your garden gate with!

The ribbons I've seen out 'in the wild' were separate purple, white and green ones tied together. So if you can't find what you want as one ribbon, you should be able to get those from places such as Hobbycraft.

Ooh good idea. I have a beautiful brooch, but a lanyard would be better.

“Genderqueer” apparently LemonRoses

Just be careful with that ribbon- you may need a licence to carry it!

toffeebutterpopcorn · 03/06/2021 20:52

They must’ve given out squillions of badges and ribbons onto those who attended marches to commemorate the centenary of votes for women marches back in 2018...

LemonRoses · 03/06/2021 21:03

Thank you MNHQ very silly of me.

Is it a Vee accessories one?

Their stuff is fantastic!

Ooo thank you for that link, I am coveting several of the necklaces now!

LemonRoses · 03/06/2021 22:25

No, mine was bought as a present by my husband (Probably not very feminist, I know). It’s an antique brooch, pre-owned by a prominent suffragette.
Those are fun though.

Nothing unfeminist about people giving each other presents!

But wow! That's a real piece of feminist history.
