The 'People's Tribunal' won't answer questions about its definition of 'woman'

I would be really grateful if people would raise this with their MPs.

The 'People's Tribunal' claims it is going to make the case to implement the 1979 Convention to Eliminate Discrimination against Women'. It's got some very high profile legal support but it's founder has some very dodgy previous dealings AND they define 'woman' by self ID.

Not only that but they refuse to answer questions about it. I think this is another attempt to legitimise self ID by stealth. They want to influence politicians to change the law - we need to make it clear this is not in our name.

Bump- letter sent.

If lurkers want to know where are the effective places to put your letter writing energy then be aware that Spero has done admirable real-world work, as a barrister in child protection and women's rights advocate, for years.

Thank you! I am just gobsmacked this peculiar venture has 3 Queen's Counsel attached to it. Beyond bizarre.

It's just bizarre that they refuse to respond to anyone. It definitely makes it look like they have something to hide.

Who is Joanne Welch? What is her background? Google hasn't been much help.

Apparently God called her to do His Work.

Read this. It's astonishing and not in a good way.

Oh dear. Oh very dear.

But nothing about her before the pensions thing. Very strange.

It's very curious. The whole thing. I had only vaguely followed the Backto60 campaign and had no idea JW went on to set up the 'People's Tribunal' which I had heard nothing about until Garden Court started boasting about their involvement.

Not quite sure what they think they will get out of this. Not sure that anyone has done any due diligence here.
