I wonder how many articles they published altogether in that time frame, on all topics?

Report
TedImgoingmad · 26/05/2021 12:51

I know she probably won't, but I wish JKR had sued all/any one of the blue ticks who accused her of transphobia. If anyone had the means to go for it, and an amazing chance of success, it is her, and the worldwide publicity would have shed so much light.

Anyway, good luck to JB, libel cases are not for the faint hearted.

That article is bonkers. 'An international network of powerful lesbians.'

Dyess is pretty clear about who they meant.

I wonder if anyone is live tweeting the hearing. I hope it goes well.

The fact that PN haven't taken it down after they knew the linkage was being made isn't a good look, either. True, but if they did take it down people would think they were admitting it was dodgy, so maybe they kept it up so as not to admit guilt.

International network = two of them have got the internet switched on at the same time

Powerful lesbians = apparently they earn money

Those tweets from Dyess are since it came out that Julie is suing Pink News? Confused

I have been really chuckling to myself at the thought of Harrop shitting himself that he might end up being instrumental in the downfall of PN - it really would be glorious wouldn't it? 😂

'An international network of powerful lesbians.' Thank goodness for that, I was beginning to think we didn't have much support 😂😂😂

It could hardly be clearer that some people on the non-GC side lack a basic understanding of word play and humour.

So there was a prelim hearing on 26th? Does anyone know what happened?

On 26 May 2021 Nicklin J heard the libel case of Bindel v PinkNews Media Group Ltd. Judgment was reserved.

What does ‘judgement was reserved’ mean?

@toffeebutterpopcorn

What does ‘judgement was reserved’ mean?

That the judge will take some time before handing down the judgment.

Sometimes because there is a lot to consider. Other times because they are very busy.

Please excuse my ignorance but does that mean there won't be a 'full' hearing (assuming the preliminary one wasn't a full one)?

@toffeebutterpopcorn

What does ‘judgement was reserved’ mean?

What is a reserved judgment? A court can reserve judgment by giving its decision at a later date in writing, after the trial or hearing (as opposed to an ex tempore judgment which is given by the judge orally straight after the hearing or trial).
