I'm really riled up after reading about the police in Kirkcaldy. twitter.com/KirkcaldyPolice?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle%7Ctwcamp%5Eserp%7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

I've seen some online but they are over £1 each. Any suggestions please

The original tweet doesn't mention a particular sticker does it? Or am I missing something?
Just not sure what exactly it is that you are enraged about?

Eyesofdisarray · 22/05/2021 16:00

Controversial stickers???????
Whatever happened to Free Speech???

JustKeep · 22/05/2021 16:03

It’s the stickers that say “woman = adult human female”. Literally a dictionary definition of the word woman. Super controversial. Apparently.

Ifyourefeelingsinister · 22/05/2021 16:08

I love the Twitter responses. Since when were stickers a police matter?

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 22/05/2021 16:08

I recommend Jess De Wahls because they're so polite. £6 for 20 stickers. www.jessdewahls.com/prints-postcards-1

However, I believe that Posie Parker has a broader range and her site is at www.adulthumanfemale.store/

The only reference to that sticker was from another Tweet though, the original Tweet doesn't mention a particular one. I am assuming it was some kind of hate speech
ScreamingMeMe · 22/05/2021 16:12

How do we know what the stickers said?

Anyway, you can get them here:

ScreamingMeMe · 22/05/2021 16:12

I wouldn't bank on that, Imasoulman

EyesOpening · 22/05/2021 16:14

careful you don't get a knock at the door from these guys twitter.com/moleatthedoor/status/1396087933707427841

Skinnytailedsquirrel · 22/05/2021 16:17

Not hate speech at all Imasoulman. Basic free speech, stating a fact. Woman = adult human female.

Thanks a lot. Away to order..and I'm not usually a "sticker type of person"

The world has gone crazy.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 22/05/2021 16:21

I see proper hate speech on walls all the time, in the form of vile racist graffiti, foul misogynist graffiti, and repulsive disablist graffiti. And also some anatomically implausible drawings on bodyparts.

Do you think my local police force would tweet about it and how to get the council to remove it if I reported it?

Waitwhat23 · 22/05/2021 16:21

It's very likely that it wasn't hate speech.

Woman visited by police for chalking 'women's rights are human rights' and 'women are watching' - www.scotsman.com/news/politics/great-niece-of-snp-founder-reveals-she-chalked-womens-rights-message-at-government-hq-3173201

This is the grassroots feminism going on in Scotland. None of it is hate speech. It's all peaceful and polite. But we've had enough.

www.mumsnet.com/Talk/womens_rights/4186986-Theres-been-a-sticker

It's a scary place to be a woman in Scotland.

PurgatoryOfPotholes · 22/05/2021 16:40

Well, it's been over 24 hours since the original tweet, and the force social media person hasn't rushed back on to clarify that it was something much worse than a dictionary definition.

Someone round my area ( not me!) has been going round sticking up homemade stickers to lamp-posts saying that covid is a lie. Should I bother police about that? They're definitely "controversial". I just roll my eyes at them on the school run.

Justhadathought · 22/05/2021 16:44

You can get a whole book or sheet of your own made up just for a few pounds. Just pop down to your local print shop with a template.

Waitwhat23 · 22/05/2021 16:46

The folk in Kirkcaldy certainly seem to think that's its likely to be a Women's Rights sticker - mobile.twitter.com/KirkcaldyPolice/status/1395752661375463426

Given the vague tweet by the Police which still hasn't been clarified and the current push by the Government and Police in Scotland to silence women's voices, those of us in Scotland will be able to come to some (almost certainly correct) conclusions.

SudokuMania · 22/05/2021 16:57

The good folk of Kirkcaldy should inundate Fife council with reports of stickers of any nature all over the town. Perhaps call 101 too as requested in the original tweet.
May be a good way to get the place cleaned up and looking smart.

Yep, I'm sure there are some pro and anti indy ones still left. Not to mention the Brexit ones.

I really want some "Down with this sort of thing" and "Careful now" stickers. I would blitz Kirkcaldy with them Smile

PopperUppleton · 22/05/2021 20:18

I had a sheet of excellent stickers once. They said "Peel off and stick" Grin
