twitter.com/millar_marion/status/1396039074239164423?s=19

On Wednesday April the 28th 2021 I received a call from a PC Laura Daley from police scotland requesting i attend an interview for homophobic and transphobic tweets under the milacious communications act.

I was asked to attend that coming Friday, she told me I had to attend East Kilbride police station so I could be then transported to Cathcart police station in a police car because I would have to go to a police station where there is holding cells, I would be then processed, questioned and then most likely charged.

I told her I would not be attending any interview on that day especially with it being a bank holiday weekend because my autistic twins needed me and I was scared I would be held all weekend.

To this she told me she would attend my house with social workers for my boys.

I contacted a solicitor straight away and he was unable to get PC Daley so for the first bank holiday in May I sent my disabled twins away for fear of this officer carrying out this threat.

This absolute nonsense has been hanging over my head for a month, I can barely sleep
or eat and I still don't know what the offending tweet is, my new interview has been scheduled for Thursday the 27th May, I will find out what I am supposed to have said at that point and if I will be indeed charged, again at another bank holiday, I just want to say, anyone who knows me, knows I am not homophobic or transphobic, I am a hard working mummy who would fight to the end for the safety and dignity of women and girls and for my vulnerable twinnies.

If we sit back and do nothing we will regret it for ever. For this reason I will never
Wheesht.

Indeed.

PronounssheRa · 04/06/2021 17:12

He's also discovered that the gun-toting TRA is good friends with none other than Aimee Challenor

Well isn't that a surprise, actually no it's not.

What is it with Coventry, and local politics.

ThumbWitchesAbroad · 04/06/2021 17:34

@EsmaCannonball

I actually feel sorry for the person at Brunel who resigned. This is an institutional problem and shouldn't fall on the shoulders of one, probably quite lowly, worker. Brunel seems to be saying that the individuals involved are being dealt with, rather than dealing with their own culture which seems to foster angry incel entitlement and knee-jerk support for anything a trans-identified person does.
Well, they may have chosen to resign rather than apologise; they may have been offended that their support of trans rights was seen as requiring an apology (cf. the Marxist club's comments); or they may have been requested to leave in a manner that brooked no opposition.

I can't feel sorry for them - if your immediate response to a threat to half the student population is to go "Yeah, TR are HR!" then you do not belong on the staff in any capacity as your views are not compatible with the safety of the student body as a whole.

We need a new flag.

Just to say that MNHQ have now closed the thread I started to alert those on FWR of the new developments yesterday.

I started the new thread as most would not have thought to look at this old thread and just thought it just more of the same.

Can we please think about what it going to get news out in the most effective way. Burying it in an old thread seems the least effective way of doing it.

Also because of the impact a FWR thread title has on google threads.

I have reported MNHQ's highhanded action to - MNHQ! And suggested that in future they close old threads on the basis there is a new one! Grin

ScreamingMeMe · 04/06/2021 20:04

We could get the title of this one changed, maybe?

Meanwhile, a narrative is being spun on Twitter.

Ooh, I do like a spun narrative Paralithic. What is it this time?

nauticant · 04/06/2021 21:10

Ahhh, subsequent posts to yours seem to have answered my question.

ItsAllGoingToBeFine · 04/06/2021 21:15

Yes, he came back to tell us all that he had had to move house as he was threatened with ‘I know where you live’ type threats

Literal DARVO. He was involved in the doxxing of Marion a while ago.

Please. Please be careful about naming and speculating on the motives of anyone involved in her case. It may be wise to ask for the above posts to be deleted.

Manderleyagain · 04/06/2021 21:42

We have to be really careful about what we say about MM's case, because it sounds like contempt rules in scotland are v strict.

The guardian article was a surprisingly non emotional and straight forward write up of the situation. Not exactly how I would have portrayed it obvs but pretty good for the guardian. Their readers need to know the facts. That journalist has covered these issues in a similar tone, trying to stick to the facts, before.

I also feel a bit sorry for the Brunel social media person who's resigned (tho I accept we don't really know the circumstances so they might not be deserving of sympathy). They replied to a different tweet, not the gun tweet at the top. It is a bad mistake to miss the context - especially when the context turned out to be so yikes - but I'm not kean on people losing jobs. If they were a student volunteer the uni needs to consider that policy when the social media person is representing the whole uni all of the time.

Scott the freelance journo is doing good work. He also says he has pics if aimee & Andrea all together with challenor senior.

McDuffy · 04/06/2021 21:52

Sorry if obvious but is it the same "Andrea" that kicked off about the manicure situation where the Muslim beautician couldn't perform the treatment recently?

Well, after Tweeting a few days ago that someone was going to go dark for a few days “for self care” Hmm, that someone has reappeared saying they had to leave their home because “nasty GC people”.

Cue a big love in with lots of virtual hugs.

FOJN · 04/06/2021 22:08

MrMenno has prepared a poem, it's posted on twitter.

TRAs are blaming LGBA and Graham Linehan (if you click the #Kingofterf hashtag, you'll see that's how they refer to him) for Paisley being doxed. Ffs.

Why not just wait to see what is said in the trial?

JustcameoutGC · 04/06/2021 22:39

Exactly. Twitter is a cess pit. Steer clear.

RedDogsBeg · 04/06/2021 22:47

Twitter - the toilet of the internet.

ScreamingMeMe · 04/06/2021 23:21

More info from Scott Christy-Jones. Andrea sounds like a dangerous person, and it seems the Challenor connection is a strong one.
