I am a long time lurker on this board and have learned so much from it.

I was asked to fill in a survey at work today, when I got to the tick box which asked 'what gender do you identify as' I ticked the 'other' box and commented that I do not have a gender identity but am a female.

I feel angry about the question, but empowered by what I have learned from this board. Thank you.

I am not concerned by potential ramifications from my comment as I leave in 6 weeks. But it is sad that I had to consider that I could be putting myself at risk by stating my position.

I just did that on a registration form for dd…ticked other then said “dd sex is female her gender is irrelevant “…followed by writing to ask about single sex facilities….

Well done, OP. I have a feeling there are quite a lot of people avoiding the 'gender' box lately.
