Not sure if this person has featured on here before - the prison has recently if I recall. This is absolutely appalling:

FFS. I’m just so sick of this.

Though, to be fair, no one will think that person is a woman. So in a way it’s sunlight. The headline just makes the perpetrator look even worse and makes a mockery of the reporting.

There's an interesting bit later in the story - they remain in a male prison and there's a quote about how they are accepted for who they are by other prisoners and staff.

But the female pronouns through this report are galling and certainly hope this isn't statistically considered a woman's crime. There seems to be more of this every day.

It's obviously a man and it's a male pattern crime. It shouldn't be reported or recorded as anything other than that. To do so is to lie to the public. It was a huge relief to see that the issues around sex disaggregated crime data have now been raised in the House of Commons. It would be good if they could turn their attention to media coverage too.

And at least HMP Altcourse is a men's prison.

Plenty of men enjoy looking at sexual images in public as it feels transgressive. And can and does upset those who see what they're doing.

Sounds like an excuse tbh.
