Horrifying to hear just how many men are caught/ not caught and let out before trial. The monitoring seemed quite tough and everyone was clear about the danger these men present. What was the strongest statement was the police woman who has to look at pictures and videos of the very worst child abuse imaginable, when she said she no longer trusted men generally as this is now becoming the norm for so many. The example they showed was a good one as he tried to convince them that he was harmless as more emerged about his activities making videos of himself abusing children. But he was free for over a year ....... they also said that the prisons do not have capacity to deal with all these men. So no wonder that the police woman was so worried. The programme certainly wasn’t much of a warning to abusers about consequences.
