Bless Trevor Philips for taking the time to write that terrific article whilst mourning the recent death of his daughter (and thank you for the link @persistentwoman).

PopperUppleton · 17/05/2021 15:45

I can't read that share token article I'm afraid. Any chance of another? Thanks

persistentwoman · 17/05/2021 15:48

They're in a real mess aren't they toffeebutterpopcorn They've signed up to teenage politics, have allowed to mob to dictate policy and now have no clue how to reverse.
When you allow the Nandy's of the world to state that housing male born sex offenders in prison with women is a good idea, when Rosie Duffield is hung out to dry and the leader can't find the words to tell the mob to stop and when Diane Abbott tell the world that babies are born with no sex, you descend from being a political party to a being a sad joke.

persistentwoman · 17/05/2021 15:52

Agreed TedImgoingmad . It's a great article and with no bitterness, despite him being suspended by the fools, along with his recent loss of his daughter.

The comments underneath are so moving.

PopperUppleton · 17/05/2021 15:59

Oh funnily enough I can't read the article but I can read the comments (which are often the best bit)

SmokedDuck · 17/05/2021 16:09

I'd vote for TP as PM in a heartbeat.

Trevor Phillips, Yvette Cooper, Caroline Flint, Rosie Duffield. These people would make good start in making the LP a saner place. Life experience and a bit of gumption.

Helleofabore · 17/05/2021 21:45

I just saw that Rosie Duffield has been elected Chair of the Women's Parliamentary Labour Party (PLP) again.

Good news.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 17/05/2021 22:05

It is, isn't it? Not everyone is happy though, as I'm sure we can all imagine.

That's hilarious but enraging too - suggests a level of secret support. As opposed to, eg, putting your head above the fucking parapet.

After what happened to her I understand why, but SOMEONE needs to woman up and start telling the truth at some point.

Lilyofthevalleys · 18/05/2021 09:38

Watch Tonia Antoniazzi outlets Ning why crime recording must be by sex not gender in parliament yesterday. Labour need more Tonia’s. So refreshing to hear the issue clearly outlined without beating around the bush.

Sigh *outlining

Lilyofthevalleys · 18/05/2021 09:39

Double sigh *Tonias.

Pass the coffee

teawamutu · 18/05/2021 11:47

Just read the transcript - my daily act today will be emailing Tonia to thank her.

Thecatonthemat · 18/05/2021 17:30

Yes...things are changing but we need to hear more from the leadership.
