Does anyone know anything about Amaze.org? Some of their videos are being used by an Irish sexual health education programme in primary schools in the west of Ireland. They are quite well hidden in the Irish website but I found a few gender videos hidden under “sexuality”

Here’s one:

It starts off well enough but the two boys who dress differently are still both dressed in traditional “boys wear” - but when a boy puts on a dress he becomes a girl. WTF.

There’s another one that says something like, “oh grandad in YOUR day you thought there were only two genders, but now we know there are lots of genders”. 🤮

I am going to challenge the school on this but I’d like to know who created and sponsored these videos and how they ended up in an Irish primary classroom. Who are amaze.org?

Do Safe Schools Alliance know anything about this group? Might be worth a look, or Transgender Trend?

Looks like a US company

amaze.org/what-is-amaze/

Not much info on history, funders etc.

I think trying to impose US cultural ideas and references on children is problematic in itself, fwiw. Laws, history, context are all very different.

Thank you. A lot of their videos are quite good and make sense and then you hit the gender ones and go whaaaaa?

I think so too Arabella, not just from a feminist standpoint.
