...for 16-24 year olds. And what do we know about that? Well we do know that most 16-24 year olds from the LGBT community are going to be offered - or given - but likely to be offered conversion therapy"

So said one Igi Moon at a zoom event for circa 400 psychotherapists and counsellors last month.

The comments were a bun fight but then the trotskyists threatened the dissenters with reporting to their membership bodies and were then evicted from the zoom call.

And They all lived happily ever after (with Doctor Ranj, for some reason?)

From 2:00 is a lovely rant all about how we can't possibly know what it means to be a woman because obvs we've never explored it.

Which is funny, because I myself grew up in a home where every male in the family was a sexual abuser and every woman was sexually abused.

But you rant away, Igi, and tell me that I've never explored what it means to be a woman. Well done. What an eminently safe and unbiased practitioner you are.

It's disgraceful how there supposedly educated therapists have given so little critical thought to this

'Well we do know that most 16-24 year olds from the LGBT community are going to be offered - or given - but likely to be offered conversion therapy"

???

That's a big statement. They are saying that most bisexual, lesbian or gay 16-24 year olds will be offered or subjected to conversion therapy? In the UK?

Yes plenty of parents might well be unhappy or very unhappy. But how many know how and where to get conversion therapy. Offered it? I thought it was usually certain religious strains that did this sort of thing. More fundamentalist groups that most people are not involved with in any way at all and wouldn't want to be...? Even if they knew where to find one and one that did conversion 'therapy' at that...

I mean it feels like bollocks. The idea that most gay young people get marched of to an obscure religious group?

And 16-24? How many people that age are controlled by their parents?

Again, sounds like bollocks.

1:23:44 the chair sniggers smugly about 't**f myths' 'transing the gay away' which gets brushed off despite evidence of that before our very eyes (although the relevant person is of course not asked for their opinion)
