A cousin of the murdered police community support officer Julia James has questioned the lack of “uproar” following her death.

Samantha Griffin, a community radio DJ in Kent, also appealed on social media for more information about her cousin’s killer.

She tweeted: “Where is the uproar about my beautiful cousin? Where is the huge outrage and pouring of despair? Where are the vigils and protests about her murder?”

Here's a share token Smile

Personally, I think the circumstances are very different between Sarah Everard and Julia James and I'm not sure that the lack of vigils is anti-police. Age and being photogenic certainly play a part but also her body was discovered before her murder became a news story. Finally, JJ was walking her dog in isolated woods (I'm not for a moment suggesting that she deserved to be attacked for this) - that breaks the rules that SE was seen to be observing so carefully Hmm.
