In new Zealand but reported in today's Times" Scotland section:

www.thetimes.co.uk/article/916eeaf6-ab8f-11eb-bda6-057976012425?shareToken=cc3127d4b180f3d2f1e4ca4e7963811e

Saw this and wondered what it was doing there.
The Times have also covered the Jenner comments about girls sport and the micro aggression issue.
Good to see

Makes one want to print off a ton of quizzes and fling them out of a low flying aeroplane all over the town. Grin

Definitely needs a visit from sticker woman.

Some good comments.

I'm really grateful for the share tokens but has something changed in the way the Times makes these articles available, I wonder? Until recently the comments were also visible but now they've completely disappeared and there's no obvious way to enable them. It's really frustrating as they're almost always the best and most intelligent part....

Saw this and wondered what it was doing there.

I'd guess it's covered in the Scotland section because JKR is probably the most famous resident of Scotland.

GNCQ · 03/05/2021 09:04

Zeugma maybe there's some sort of algorithm on your device that's preventing you from seeing them, because the comments show up for me after clicking on the share token. Try clearing your cache.

The first comments I've attached and most readers are indeed anti woke and anti cancel culture.

What's changed for me Zeugma is that the comments no longer appear on an Android tablet. They do appear on my Android phone and on PC.

YetAnotherSpartacus · 03/05/2021 09:57

I can see the comments on my computer. I don't use an app.

One of these comments is certainly worthy of mention:

Mridhul Wadha has just been made CEO of the Edinburgh rape crisis centre. This person is not female, they do not have a Gender Recognition Certificate. In the whole of Scotland, there was not a single female more appropriate for this role? Unbelievable.

I did a bit more Googling on this one and found the comment to be accurate, prompting the question of why, yet again, the TRAs are making a beeline for traumatised rape victims. It seems the already-vulnerable are prime fodder as support humans/identity validators, at a time when they are most in need of support themselves.

This is so targeted it can't be coincidental (cf. Vancouver and some controversial arguments in Devon). But if rape victims are not sacrosanct and are legitimate targets for (yet more) male intrusion into their most intimate spaces, then there are no possible depths to which this aggressive, misogynistic movement won't sink.

Wadha styles Wadha's self as a 'women's rights activist'. Back in October 2020 it was also reported that Wadha was bidding to become a member of the Scottish parliament.

WTF is going on in Edinburgh right now?

Zeugma · 03/05/2021 15:19

Thanks GNCQ, I'll try that. It's frustrating. It just started very recently, never had a problem before (I'm on an iPad too).

AngryBananaSund · 03/05/2021 15:41

I had this (on an iPad) and cured it by deleting Website Data for The Times website only

WTF is going on in Edinburgh right now?

It's become Canada.
