Just finished today on the Gloria del Piero show (10 am to 1pm, 30 April) on Times Radio. Clear confident interview with an American detransitioner (FTM). Preceded by a discussion with a transwoman which touches on the Maya Forstater case.

Worth listening to. Interviews start after 11 am, but before 11.30 so an hour or so into the show.

Thanks for that OP. I'll have a listen.

Thanks

It was a good segment, but the misrepresentation of Maya continued with the first interviewee.

It's good to see it being discussed though, and the second interviewee made so many good points. Look forward to the day when it can be discussed in a more challenging, robust way.

So many questions I wanted to ask the first interviewee, especially about modern day 'conversion therapy'. So much left unsaid between the lines. Would have loved Maya to have been part of that discussion.

It was a good segment, but the misrepresentation of Maya continued with the first interviewee.

Can't figure out how to rewind while it's still live...

Anyway, misrepresentations come out of all this stuff so easily because what's happening is so extreme that people naturally tend to discount the true stories they hear and assume that something more must have happened to cause the reaction.

Now available on listen again (link below). The interviews start one hour and five minutes (1:05) in.

Sorry, just listened to the rest of the interview with the second interviewee - she does say that initially the testosterone initially helped, and did feel she was treated better as a male.

Sad how she says that she realised it was self harm.

She was very reasonable.

Yes, the first interviewee said very much as you would expect. I felt very sorry for their experiences, but it did not explain the need for a birth certificate that said they were born female.

Carol was very different though and had gone on quite a journey. Strong views on prisons built from personal and family experience from careers there. Her thoughts about how cross sex hormones make you feel were interesting.
