Years ago an old friend tried out for the fire service and failed the tests. It's incredibly hard, the one that saw him out was orienting himself in a smoke-filled room.

It's interesting how Fireman Sam and the school visits inspired her. I find that unless they specifically send a woman into schools for jobs like firefighter and police officer, the girls just assume it's not for them.
I always get cranky at our early years who have a heroes week and always get: male police officer, male firefighter, female nurse. They always look at me like I am nuts to think it matters.

Was a brilliant interview & they clearly added all the training clips to show she is not getting any concessions. I'm sure she will have inspired others.
