This is well worth a read. It's by the excellent Sean Ingle, one of the few Guardian writers not in thrall to the gender woo-wah:

www.theguardian.com/football/2021/apr/27/teenage-girls-face-almost-double-the-concussion-risk-of-boys-playing-football

"Teenage girls face almost double the risk of concussion playing football compared with teenage boys – and typically take two days longer to recover from these injuries, a landmark study has found."

But yeah, let's let them play against teenage boys.

How did The Guardian publish that and keep a straight face?

They also have a higher risk of ACL injuries, something about differences in knee structure. I was reading an article a long time ago on sporting differences between women and men and one aspect was looking at youth development with injuries being one aspect. Girls have a higher risk for many injuries I believe.
