I don't care who it is...if the person is a celebrity I DON'T WANT THEM RUNNING FOR OFFICE in my country.
America has seen too many celebrities take over our public life - civic duty as a public servant should be for the competent and humble...pretty sure that's a rare thing in most celebrities. We founded this country in opposition to the immorality of classism and I think Celebrityhood is not dissimilar to European royalty (ostentatious, wasteful, ridiculous, absorbing, etc.).
We just had the Orange man...cough, cough.
There is a very boring trans woman who ran for minor office in some small state...can't remember her name cause she's not in the national news much. She talked a lot about traffic and infrastructure. I would have voted for her because she seemed quite knowledgeable and, frankly, her dullness seemed an attribute-I have heard her constituents say she works hard and had fixed their problematic traffic system.
I don't think Jenner is running because she offers a capable, public servant role. I think Jenner is running because Jenner likes attention.
