Hi all. I'm normally a bit of a lurker but have been sent this and feel it might be of interest. I've not had time to properly digest in between meetings this morning, but some refreshing acknowledgements about implications and duty of care arising from sex/gender in healthcare. And all of which it would be nice to see more widely and openly discussed to come to reasonable and workable solutions.
"If we take the view that sex is no longer biologically determined, but is interpreted on the basis of subjective experience, then one of our most widely used ways of differentiating between people in the practice setting—biological sex—is no longer workable."
