sweeping generalisations ! I did mention women being erased or silenced Confused

This is a brilliant and terrifying piece.

I love how TRAs are constantly trying to justify they're on the "right side of history" because GC feminists have support from some (by no means all) conservative groups who also know that there are only two sexes yet they have literal fucking paedophiles and murderers on their side trying to co-opt the trans movement for their own nefarious ends and don't seem to feel the need to defend or question that at all.

Kind of says it all really.

This is from today's email. Absolutely terrifying.

"Aimee went into schools as a mentor. But in Scotland, our carelessness went further. The leading gay organisation of the 2000s, Lesbian and Gay Youth Scotland, was led for years by a disgusting paedophile, James Rennie.

It's not often I'd use the term "sex beast" but the raping of babies you might think could justify it. At his trial in 2009 it was revealed he'd made contacts using the computers at the offices of LGBTY Scotland where he stayed a full 8 years.

He rose through Stonewall Scotland to be a key liaison with the Scottish Exec and chairman of a group representing 50 voluntary organisations with a youth remit where he argued: "sexuality barriers must fall".

SmokedDuck · 12/04/2021 12:46

How many people who were involved in these organisations do you think had a sense of what these people were interested in?

Is it the sort of thing where certain people with a similar agenda could read the code, and others were oblivious? If so, how was that managed - was it just an assumption that these activists were operating from a place of good-will, or a reaction against claims that all gay men were dangerous to kids?

It seems like somewhere, something went a bit wrong.

Good Lord, that article. I must agree with the first commenter: "Why oh why are they getting away with this?"

The tide will turn in time. Honestly it will.

PandorasMailbox · 12/04/2021 13:49

Every time I think that something will change with each outrageous story that comes out, I'm severely disappointed with the lack of coverage in the mainstream media.

We're here screaming at them to do something and they're sticking their fingers in their ears singing "lalalalala" and pretending they can't hear us.

BraveBananaBadge · 12/04/2021 14:39

The state of that statement from Rainbow Greens. 'Lies' and 'hatred', I don't think. If they can't even denounce a child rapist and instead choose to double down on their victim status it speaks volumes. Very murky waters.

stumbledin · 12/04/2021 14:46

Has the thread about the new Glinner article been deleted? Or did I just dream there was one?

I wouldn't be surprised if organisations had employees sign a non-disclosure form so they wouldn't be able to talk about it, even if they left the org. I also wouldn't be at all surprised if there was bullying going on within these organisations.

Who's the mysterious 'JL' who writes for him, anyone know? She's pretty active in the comments under GL's pieces too which is unusual for a guest writer on a blog. Most odd..

Hmm

A similar question arose about the members of NCCL who were oblivious to their association with PIE.

Oh, hey there, can i ask people to share the bejaysus out of this one? I think it's really important and Genevieve's next one is going to be even bigger.

The name is 'mysterious' for good reason.
Lisz · 13/04/2021 20:08

Oh which reason is that, sorry don't follow.

Glinner · 13/04/2021 20:17

harassment etc
SunsetBeetch · 13/04/2021 20:45

I thought that would be bleeding obvious.

Many people blog under pseudonyms or nicknames anyway. Not seeing the issue with that.

Anyway, looking forward to Genevieve's next post. And sort of not, iykwim.
