Hi Everyone,
I found this really interesting and well made video about the Suffragettes and how they learned Jiu-Jitsu from an expert called Edith Garrud. Some of the treatment that the women faced by the police was eye wateringly atrocious.

We have a couple of interesting threads from 2-3 years ago about this topic - it was such an interesting backstory. I'll watch this tonight - thank you for posting it.

I can't find the threads - bizarrely, I came across a somewhat related thread about Bartitsu - but when I did a Google site search on it it doesn't come up although I can actually see the word in a thread.
