CIS woman in survey

Hi all perhaps you can help me here, I’ve been sent a survey about the inclusion of transgender and non binary players into u18’s rugby, I wanted to fill it in but they ask whether you are a Cis Woman, Cis Man, Transgender or Non Binary and no option of just selecting woman. I want to do the survey as I think it’s important but I don’t want to select CIS anything as I hate the term, shall I just click ‘Other’??

Hi Curious ☺️ I did too, hope it gives them a wake up. I was surprised they’d use that stupid term in the first place.

I used the "other" box, wrote woman and put there was no need for the additional label of cis. I am not a sub-category of woman FFS.

I did other but filled the other box to say woman and to stop being so exclusive to women and girls

I understand the objection to cis, but if they just called the category woman or female, trans women would likely use it as “they are women”. This messes up what they’re trying to find out. I see why they’ve done it

I ticked cis but only because I didn't think to put other - woman/no gender, but I did say in the comments section at the end of the survey that the term 'cis' is offensive.

It's that we are fighting against. As the ONS found out, it is not good enough, it is a lie and will not go unchallenged.

Not giving that inch anymore!

What ARE they trying to find out? I put other and then I have no gender identity. I’m not sure what useful info they will gain from that.
