It would be good if wiki could disclose the demographics of its editors, both overall and for each piece. The current bias on some topics is pretty bad.

Part of the answer has to be for more women, and probably more nationalities to wade in. (As a bit of an aside, I'm not sure how it works for entries which are 'protected against vandalism' , whether you have to establish your credentials via other contributions or not. ). I think there may be a general problem that for whatever reason, men are more likely to be self-declared 'experts' than women.
