They've had the GRA consultation analysis report since 12 March & haven't published it.

They are indeed. Arseholes.

Sexnotgender · 26/03/2021 13:05

Is it possible to do a FOI to see the output or do we just have to wait until they deign to publish it?

TheShadowyFeminist · 26/03/2021 13:11

They need to publish it. It's a Scotgov commissioned report & will go on their website. The responses will (hopefully) be published there too.

But it's very convenient to say the GRA reform was booted into the long grass when that's not been the case & they have the analysis.

I'd bet my house STA/EN have a copy.

I understand there is also a report on the state of education in Scotland which is also being held back.
TheShadowyFeminist · 26/03/2021 13:16

You'd never know there's an election coming up eh?

Honestly how anyone votes for these sleekit dribbling imbeciles is beyond me.

PurpleHoodie · 26/03/2021 13:59

Sneaky, sneaky so and so's.

CuthbertDibbleandGrubb · 26/03/2021 15:55

Pre-election period will be used as an excuse by the Scottish government to hide things, as it probably will by some councils, the Welsh government and no doubtless number 10.

vivariumvivariumsvivaria · 26/03/2021 16:15

WHAT?

So, do we assume that the lack of publication means it's findings are not favourable to their cult like stance?

TheShadowyFeminist · 26/03/2021 16:19

Not necessarily. It means that they can still pretend it's in the long grass while they're primed to just carry on after the election & ignore women as they usually do.

I suspect there's significant evidence in the responses that suggests there are serious & significant issues but given their track record so far, they'll ignore & push it through if they can, regardless of anything women say.

One of the things that's significant about the Alba announcement earlier is the possible impact on the greens - they were clearly hoping to continue their cost set up & destroy women's rights. The list vote is up in the air so it's all to play for now I think.

Burying this report just helps then (partly) control the narrative during the election of saying it's in the long grass. Pure avoidance.

Any possibility we can take heart from what the report might say?

Tibtom · 26/03/2021 16:33

Hmm an interesting choice if you are pro independence and pro women: sturgeon or salmond? Wasn't there another new party too?

TheShadowyFeminist · 26/03/2021 16:33

We won't know until it's published.

There was obviously campaigns on submissions & at least a better response rate for the 2nd consultation. But it can still be completely disregarded by an administration determined to push ahead regardless.

I think it'll be clearer once the responses are published. What I'm not clear on is whether they will publish them. They committed to doing so before the launch, but backtracked with 'Covid' as an excuse.

I don't trust them at all with this.

I absolutely guarantee the report will already be with STA/EN.

There is the ISP who are very pro-women's rights.
Tibtom · 27/03/2021 15:07

Salmond's party seems to be a sneaky way to try and get around propoetional representation

craven, dishonest, manipulative, arrogant, bullying, spineless, disingenuous, insincere and incompetent. At best.
