So around 100 accusations per year for the last 6 years.

Disgraceful.

I didn't particularly want Cressida Dick to resign over last weeks shambles but surely that's shockingly horribly disgustingly high? How can she allow that level of abuse?

What's the rate of accusations like across the country?

There must be something else on top of the breakdown in sex in the police.

Roughly 29% of police officers are female.

Alpini sadly that article is likely to be the biggest issue. Its institutionalised sexism and abuse.

No wonder there is so much sexual assault and abuse about.

If the police had a absolute hard line about it within themselves, it does make to wonder the impact that would have on wider society. Not just because we don't have their crimes added to the mix, but they're potentially going to be handling all reported sexual assault crimes better.

I know this isn't directly related, but it is more evidence of a serious problem with met officers.

Not surprising. Living in a county town I know a few police men / women. Some are normal. Some are bloody awful sexist people. I’ve heard in pub conversations Comments about dead victims, attitudes about women who use dating sites. Some of them think they are above the law and operate in a different universe to those of us in offices etc. Yet the majority are excellent I’m sure and I wouldn’t want to police the streets and be spat on daily.
