Mermaids is (virtually) coming to work....

I work for a large international company and an employee network has announced that Mermaids are running a session on 'creating an inclusive environment at home' in the near future.

I am very much a 'don't rock the boat' person but I do feel Mermaids views on eg puberty blockers are actively harmful.

I am planning to go, probably to listen only. I will get nowhere with suggesting this session is inappropriate as the employee networks are fairly standalone, it is obviously not compulsory to go.

Not sure why I am posting really. Just might need some help to calm down afterwards.

Useful to go and if it is all wildly lacking in factual rigour you could perhaps take note and point this out to HR. You can cross check it’s people here who will point you to the right resources.
Also ask questions if you don’t understand what you are being told.
Sounds a bit like a new gravy train for an organisation that has perhaps lost funds from going into schools due to changes in education directives from the government? Hmm

Please attend - it is through activities like this that we learn about trainers who claim to know what people are thinking even when they are using the 'right words' and are to be condemned for 'wrongthink' on these strong grounds. Hmm

It will be interesting to learn whether Mermaids has accepted the critique of the science that they have claimed up until now and amended anything.

Brilliant if you could record it OP?
