Lots of support for the simple statement that men cannot become women.
Usual suspects at it of course but majority of comments are in support.

This is not a new thing. The owner of the page is hugely gender critical and has been posting GC statuses for years, not so many in such quick succession though

Yeah. Except it's not on a 'banned list'. It's on a 'not especially conducive to civil debate' list which doesn't appear in any MN guidelines.

I despair on the politics pages of reddit sometimes, the comments in relation to Lord Hunt in HoL mostly jeering at women fearing erasure.

However I recently posted on a similar thread and despite the comments against me - the upvotes told an entirely different story.

I was really heartened. Most sensible people, after hearing both sides 'get it'.

I rarely post on Reddit, but I might do more often now. People need to the hear the other side of this. The side that is so threatening that it must be silenced at all costs.

(Won’t ever be posting on MN to ask if I have whipped my eggs and cream enough to create the sufficient amount of.... um, spires.... Mountaintops.... summits? as called for by particular recipes though)

She came out in support of JKR last year too. I'm surprised so many are shocked and thinking that she has been hacked.

I think the cognitive dissonance of recent events versus being told that all men self identifying as women must be allowed into women's prisons, hospital wards, showers, sports etc have finally exposed the extent of what is being removed from women and girls.

I wonder if she's capitalising in the current feeling to make people THINK for once, to realise you cannot talk about women being unsafe while walking home while removing safeguards?

The sheer number of posts may be a bid to get them through the algorithm as well.

But yeah she's been GC for a while.

At least one of the mods is also a GC feminist. It's great to see, and there are regular waves of flouncing from liberal feminists who want to include males and quite a lot of men, who don't seem to respect that it's a page for women. What a surprise that is.
