A Constituency Labour Party meeting for women and all trans members

I received an invitation to a CLP meeting for all women and all trans members. For those who believe in gender ideology (I don't) surely the meeting should have been for women and trans women members? If they believe that trans men are men, why invite them to a meeting with women members?
I have sent emails to various people asking for the rationale of putting these two groups together and had no reply. I have asked whether they ever hold joint meetings for all men and all trans members and heard nothing. They don't seem to want to justify themselves to those whose votes they are seeking, which is an interesting strategy for a political party.

The Labour Party seem to be in meltdown on this issue - literally terrified to do anything that focuses on women or sex. A number of LP members I know have had the 'Sex' tick-box info on their membership forms unilaterally changed to 'gender identity'. They are incandescent.

Reminds me of the Greens and their non-men descriptors a few years back. Down the rabbit hole we go without a paddle.

I wish we had an eyerolling emoji here. That meeting set up makes no sense at all, but of course we have a precedent in the male toilets which remain as male toilets because they have urinals in them, while the female toilets become unisex. Women have to budge up and make room yet again, while the males slap each other on the back and tell each other how incredibly tolerant and progressive they are for creating a solution to the gender problem.
