Who to vote for - the pro's and cons of each party and also what to write in a letter to your local mp/msp

I'm taking my vote away from the SNP over the hate crime bill and now looking at alternatives. I thought a few of us might need a thread where we list the various parties so we can weigh up their offerings. Also as I'm writing to my local MSP - I am saying I will consider voting if I can understand his stand on women's rights.... so what else should I put into this letter? For me it's my first time really engaging in politics in this way as I grew up in a family who always voted labour and I never really thought about it until I was older and had children. There's probably a few of us who could do with thinking about this and understanding what options we have.

You may find the Manifesto for Women's Rights a useful reference?

You can focus on one or two sections that concern you the most and engage in conversation around that with your MSP, especially if they are standing for re-election.

Thank you Nonny! That's really helpful.

The ISP looks interesting. www.isp.scot/
Trying to find out more about them.

How is Scottish Labour different to English Labour?
