Ok I spotted this first on a well known author’s Insta account (Brighton dwelling, YA author, ‘gay as a consolation prize‘ person) Traced it back to a ‘feminist’ account on Insta called fgrlsclub - 67k followers.
Obvious context is the tragic news from Clapham. Obviously women all over are rocked by this.
But what is the final thought of this piece on this Feminist site? (I haven’t linked to it on purpose)
THIS is their ‘take home‘ on the whole tragic situation: “... our streets, the ones we call so easily our home, are even more dangerous for transwomen”
Apart from this being palpably untrue - how fucking dare they take this situation and turn it into an opportunity for women to know their place and infer we’re all so fucking privileged. This and Caitlin’s grovelling apology is pushing me over the edge.
