That's made me cry. I'm devastated about the Hate Crime Bill in Scotland tonight, and I just feel hopeless.

ForeverFaithless · 10/03/2021 23:13

Brilliant. Thank you.

GirlLovesWorld I had a bit of an angry cry earlier. So frustrated and upset by the Hate Crime Bill too.

Bumping up this thread as the Worthy of Respect video reminded me of it again.

I want to acknowledge all the women who haven't been able to publicly show their faces or names but have nevertheless done their part in making history and helping to push back on the erosion of our rights. There's still so much to do, but we've come so far as well. Every email, survey and consultation sent out. Donations given. Speaking to friends and family. Putting up stickers, posters, ribbons and slates. Tactfully addressing policies at work. It's invaluable.

I love that.

Needs framing.

DaisiesandButtercups · 13/06/2021 18:57

Thank you, brilliant and inspiring poem.

toffeebutterpopcorn · 13/06/2021 19:15

I have seen this one a few times:

Someone clever once said
Women were not allowed pockets
In case they carried leaflets ribbons
To spread sedition
Which means unrest
To you & me
A grandiose word
For commonsense
Fairness
Kindness
Equality
So ladies, start sewing
Dangerous coats

MrsOvertonsWindow · 13/06/2021 19:40
