STEM leaders program Scotland

I just got an email from my son's primary school to say my son had been registered for a STEM leaders program. Which is great. I am involved in STEM at a FE level. He is very interested in science and technology so this will be very helpful especially since he's hardly been in school this year and online learning has been grim... really grim!

However this organisation is partnered with Young Scot which is full on gingerbread person believing and includes intersex in their definition of trans. My son has a medical condition falling under the broader intersex umbrella. Anyway we are a science based, LGB household and I want him to feel confident and factually empowered.

Am I okay to email the school with my reservations or should I just let it go? I'm possibly feeling a bit arsey at the moment....

Transphobia is the phrase used to describe the intense dislike of or prejudice against transgender people. It also covers the dislike of transsexual, intersex or androgyne people.

Well - that's wrong for a start.

What age is your DS?
Personally I'd err towards just letting them go. Life has been rubbish for the past year and this programme sounds like a generally good thing.
