i'm just linking this for information. wales news is always sort of hidden away by the bbc so it's likely not been seen by that many people.

Oh, yeah him.

No loss.

ErrolTheDragon · 06/03/2021 17:55

Sounds like there's a witch hunt going on though.Sad

PurpleHoodie · 06/03/2021 17:58

Yes. There is. He's witch-hunting Mary and others.

Chersfrozenface · 06/03/2021 18:03

In light of Adam Price's comments in this story and others, I've just told Plaid Cymru they can fuck off at the election, despite my having voted for them on and off for nearly 50 years.

Strikemepink · 06/03/2021 18:05

Why is equality spoken about as though it means entitled to be treated as if you actually are something else.

CuriousaboutSamphire · 06/03/2021 18:06

He was on Jeremy Vine radio 2 this week. I think I posted at the time that I had had to pull over as I was curling into my own belly button.

He was relentlessly self absorbed, possibly slanderous, though he did seem to realise he had uttered a bit out of turn, and basically made very little sense once he had explained he was special.

Gender fluid/queer, non binary? Neither male nor female. And gender actually is!

He sounded like a toddler trying to explain why he deserved another biscuit.

Yes. He had knives out for another MP who has already apologised for retweeting something he found offensive. And has gone on to continue not to agree with him.

Apparently one fully public apology simply isn't good enough!

Biscuitsanddoombar · 06/03/2021 18:09

I assume their pronouns are I/meeeeee

Honestly how do these political parties take these tantruming barely adult people so seriously?

NecessaryScene1 · 06/03/2021 18:16

Is it really so hard to tell someone "don't be a dick"?

midgedude · 06/03/2021 18:24

Someone feels censored for ..trying to censor someone else ?

PurpleHoodie · 06/03/2021 18:25

Wahhhhhhhhh.

I'm not going to do this job, or other.

Well, good luck pal.

Due to a combination of Covid 19 and Brexit, millions more early 23+ year olds are about to be placed on the financial scrap-heap.

#Payyourrenthow?
#jobseeker
#GenerationWhaaaahBills

What's the betting he tones down his hair colour and sartorial style in the next 4 years?

The following 3 years will be #Wahhhhh

CuriousaboutSamphire · 06/03/2021 18:29

He said he was stepping down because he had tried fighting "it" from the inside and couldn't do it any more.
midgedude · 06/03/2021 18:32

It was the she thrown out of a somewhere with a placard that I was referring to

CuriousaboutSamphire · 06/03/2021 18:38

Sorry!

GCAcademic · 06/03/2021 18:48

If you can't cope with debate, people asking questions, or people other than you having rights, you have no business being in any parliament.

MichelleofzeResistance · 06/03/2021 18:52

'Hostility' now seems to increasingly mean 'didn't unconditionally agree with me'. I agree, coping with questions, an ability to explain and debate a position, equality of values and reciprocal social contracts is essential capacity for anyone going into a political role.

hogangog · 06/03/2021 19:01

This is so well explained. I don’t think that I’ll ever understand how when someone says TWAW we are supposed to nod politely (to do anything else is transphobic Hmm ) but that when we question the impact of anything on women’s rights, we are shut down, no-one feels like they have to nod politely to us.

andyoldlabour · 06/03/2021 19:24

"I want Helen Mary Jones to apologise in a way that is not 'I'm sorry you're offended'.

"I want a sincere apology and I want her to make an effort to learn about the community and understand why she's perpetrating transphobia.

"If she doesn't resign, she at the very least needs to make it very clear that she's sorry and very clear that she's learning"

What a thoroughly nasty piece of work. Why do these miserable excuses for human beings, constantly try to get people cancelled?
Why are they given so much airtime?
Would it really have been too difficult for Mary Jones to have been given a right of reply or have we gone back to the days of the ducking stool and scolds bridle?

Violetparis · 06/03/2021 19:32

Just seen a tweet from Zac Goldsmith about the Alison Bailey case saying it was like a C17th witch hunt. Someone has posted the article shared by the OP in response to his tweet. These cases are getting noticed, I'm so disappointed Labour are pretending none of this is going on.
