International Women's DAY / Aromantic awareness WEEK

So - women around the globe get 1 DAY.
Aromantic people get 1 WEEK.

• they also get LGBT MONTH. Is that because women's problems are all sorted, so they don't need their own day anymore?

No, we don’t get one day, because we have to share it with people who are not women.

It is also apparently Women’s History Month, but I don’t see anyone falling all over themselves to show that they are allies to women.

What are people actually doing for Aromatic week though?
Isn't it just a thing on Twitter?

Campaign to get International Women's Day changed to a longer period of time then.

It's a stand-alone event, unrelated to other events, so comparisons are irrelevant and in no way related to 'worthiness' (which is entirely subjective.

Comparisons such as this achieve nothing, except perhaps looking petty, Use the energy positively instead.

I'm interested in why and how LGBT etc think it important to publicise and promote such long periods of time dedicated to people thinking about, writing about, talking about them. And why, certainly in the case of LGBT month, so many organisations and people go along with that. For example, protests at Cambridge university when colleges told students to take down rainbow flags after the full month.

Women! You don't matter!*

*Unless you have a penis.

To be honest I think this plethora of LBGT+ weeks and months are counter productive, the vast majority are sick and tired of them and I would bet that includes most LBGT people.
